Volunteer Opportunities

During the Show:

  • Admissions: collect admissions fee, make change, check registration badges and tickets; seated.
  • Appraisals: help appraiser as needed, watch area when she’s away; seated and standing.
  • MQ Merchandise Sales: sell Maine Quilts pins, tee shirts, fleece and other items; standing entire shift
  • Quilters’ Walk: sell chances on raffle items; standing entire shift.
  • Raffle Quilt & Lecture Ticket Sales: sell chances on raffle quilt and tickets for daily lectures; seated and standing.
  • Show Information: answer questions, direct visitors to various locations, monitor that no food or drink is brought into auditorium; seated in auditorium.
  • Silent Auction: give information about bidding procedures, assist bidders, check sheets for legitimate bidders and bids; seated most of the shift.
  • White Glove: answer questions about quilts, show backs of quilts, remind people not to touch quilts or use pens; walking / standing entire shift. Main auditorium, antique quilts and Hancock Room.
  • Workshop Registration: assist people in registering for classes, locating misplaced tickets; seated.

To volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Sign Up form. You can complete the form on-line but must print and mail it to Ann. You will need the free software, Adobe Reader to open the form.

Thank you for volunteering! The success of any large event such as this relies on the good will of volunteers.

You will receive confirmation postcards in early July listing your volunteer date(s), time and activity.
You must bring these postcards to the show to receive your free admission.
