Volunteer Opportunities

Specialty Volunteer Areas:

  • Teacher Transportation – on Wednesday or Thursday meet one or two teachers at the Portland Jetport and drive them to Augusta; on Sunday take them to a South Portland hotel after the show. Need reliable vehicle with a large, empty trunk; ideally have a cell phone.
  • Scribe for Judges on Thursday – record judge’s comments. May not have quilts entered in Judged Division. Must be able to be on feet all day, write legibly and record comments precisely and quickly, confidentiality agreement required. Contact Sandie Caron if you would like to be a scribe.
  • Workshop Monitors – assist teacher before, during and after class; must be PTQG member. Contact Jane Hann Morey, if you would like to monitor a workshop.

To volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Sign Up form. You can complete the form on-line but must print and mail it to Sharon.
You will need the free software, Adobe Reader to open the form.

Thank you for volunteering! The success of any large event such as this relies on the good will of volunteers.

You will receive confirmation postcards in early July listing your volunteer date(s), time and activity.
You must bring these postcards to the show to receive your free admission.

Questions? Contact Volunteer Coordinator, Sharon Mullett.
