Volunteer Opportunities

Won’t you donate two or more volunteer hours to Maine Quilts 2011? Volunteers are needed for a variety of duties during show hours. We also need volunteers to help with show set up on Wednesday, July 27 and Thursday, July 28, and especially show take down on Sunday, July 31.

Everyone who signs up by July 1 AND works every shift they signed up for will have their name entered in a special drawing for a Janome DC2011 sewing machine (MSRP $699).

DC2011 - Volunteers' Special DrawingAll volunteers receive free admission to the show on the day they volunteer and two fat quarters for every two hours worked. Those who volunteer on Wednesday or Thursday will have their postcard stamped that day; this validated postcard may then be redeemed for free one-day admission on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Plus for every two hours, volunteers receive one ticket for the daily drawing for fabric kits and other prizes as well as the grand prize drawing for a Janome DC1050 sewing machine (MSRP $499).

Thank you to The Fabric Garden for donating both sewing machines and to Marden’s for donating the fat quarters and fabric kits.

To volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Sign Up form. You can complete the form on-line but must print and mail it to Kim. You will need the free software, Adobe Reader to open the form. Get Adobe Reader

You will receive confirmation postcards in mid-July listing your volunteer date(s), time and activity. You must bring these postcards to the show to receive free admission.

Questions? Contact Volunteer Coordinator, Kim Barbour.

Thank you for volunteering!
The success of any large event such as this relies on the good will of volunteers.
