Maine Quilts 2010

Quilting Classes for Children
Sponsored by

Maine Quilts is again offering two classes for children. These classes will be held on Sunday, July 31.Space is limited to ten students per class. The cost for each class is $15; there is no registration fee.


701 Introduction to Quilting
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon

This class is for children ages 7-12 with no previous quilting experience. Students will learn the basics of quilting while creating a four-patch pillow. Sewing machines, fabric, supplies and tools provided.

702 Game Time!
1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

This class is for children ages 10-14 who know how to use a sewing machine and have made at least one quilt. In this class, students will make a checkerboard (game board). Skills include: strip cutting, piecing, pressing, adding boarders, layering and stitching in the ditch. Sewing machines, fabric, supplies and tools provided.
